Sub 120g/km
On the 1st May 2009 the government introduced new rates to the 13 band C02 emissions-based Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) scale. It provides financial incentives for both the end user and companies. The good news for the end user is that cars with emissions sub 120g/km pay the lowest P11D. Also the government intends to abolish the current 10% BIK rate in favour of a new low C02 tax band system. So the Sub 120g/km range makes both financial and emotional sense. That’s two more boxes ticked.
Sub 160g/km
If it’s a little extra power you’re after plus the added benefit of tax deductions on your fleet then SEAT’s SUB 160G/KM range is ideal for you. The government initiative favours cars with lower emissions for both corporation and income tax. Cars with C02 emissions of 111g/km to 160g/km (inclusive) attract a 20% WDA (write down allowance). While cars with C02 emissions above 160g/km attract a 10% WDA. The entire SEAT range has a model that falls under the 160g/km limit, so with all the boxes ticked the only hard decision is which one to go for:
